Beavercreek - City of Commerce
Beavercreek, Ohio saw its official incorporation as a city in February of 1980, but the area it's nestled in has been settled since the early 1800's.  Some of the original cabins from that era are preserved and on display at Wartinger Park on Kemp Road.   From the beginning this area has been one of commerce, bringing in the third largest population count in the area, behind Kettering and Dayton itself. It also boasts the first female four star general in the United States Air Force as one of its own, Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger.

The City

The best way to learn about Beavercreek is to step in the shoes of an average citizen's day. Many wake up in the morning to take the short commute to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the largest employer in the area. After work, these tired employees may enjoy the 23 parks maintained by the local government to nurture a love for the outdoors. Once the trip to the park concludes, citizens can meander over to the gorgeous premonades of The Greene Town Center for some light shopping and a bite to eat at the many stores within its premises.

The Housing
If you're considering moving into the area, it's good to note that the city has a renowned school district and access to a top-of-the-line library that's part of Greene County Public Library network. Getting down to brass tacks, the average home prices in the area is just under 300,000.  At any one time there are several new neighborhoods going in as the demand for new construction is high.  Mostly single family homes make up the housing stock and to a lesser degree there are condos to pick from.  Beavercreek is often the first choice for military families rotating in and out of the area.  Strong schools and close proximity to the base make it the ideal place to call home.
